The Sweetback Sisters

Christmastime is here again and so are the Sweetback Sisters with their annual Country Christmas Singalong Spectacular! This wildly popular show (returning to Newburyport for the sixth year in a row) delivers a veritable explosion of yuletide splendor, complete with trivia, prizes, and, of course, all the holiday tunes you know and love. Songbooks and plenty of warm fuzzy feelings provided.

 With a live show that The Boston Globe described as “the perfect balance of sass, sincerity and swing,” the Sisters have performed everywhere from A Prairie Home Companion to Mountain Stage and graced festivals from coast to coast in addition to selling out theaters with their annual Country Christmas Singalong Spectacular.

Proceeds from this performance benefit the Christmas Tree Santas. The local non-profit has a holiday mission to spread hope and joy by giving free Christmas trees with lights and ornaments to low-income families. This year the Santas will give away over 2,000 trees to individuals in need.
