The Newburyport Lions Club is sponsoring Newburyport’s native historian Ghlee
Woodworth and her presentation of Newburyport “THEN and NOW” at the
Newburyport Public Library`s program room on Wednesday, February 7^th at
7:00PM. This impressive slide show will demonstrate the amazing transformation

Newburyport experienced in the 1970`s and 80`s, coincidentally the same timeframe in which the Newburyport Lions Club was founded.
 
Over the past 40 years while Newburyport was changing its physical
appearance, the NBPT Lions Club was instrumental in adding to the quality of life.   

With the Lions’ commitment to helping those less fortunate, their pride in
Newburyport, their zeal for giving back and supporting local charities, they have
 played a key role in helping make the community a better place to live in and
raise a family.  Additionally, Lions Club members have achieved personal
growth, made new friends, and have had fun while working towards the Club’s
main goal to provide vision for all.
