Full Moon Story Slam

The Story Slam is a chance to gather friends and share true stories from our lives. It is also a competition based on the art of storytelling. It puts a dual emphasis on content and performance, encouraging storytellers to focus on what they're saying and how they're saying it. It is an exercise in crafting stories within a set time limit and it is great entertainment.
 
Story slammers sign up on the night to tell a 5-minute short story on the evening’s theme. There are opportunities for one-minute stories, too. This month there is no theme.  So come and tell your favorite story.  Remember it   has to be a true story..” The Slam takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, February 9th, at The Actors Studio of Newburyport, 50 Water St, The Tannery, Mill #1, Suite #5, Newburyport.  Tickets are $15.
