Exit Dance 30th Anniversary Celebration

Exit Dance Theatre, founded in 1987, celebrates 30 years with a special performance!
 

For three decades this innovative and dynamic dance company, based in Newburyport, has received critical acclaim and a devoted following. This past year Exit mounted two particularly stirring productions at the Firehouse Center for the Arts and at Green Street Studios in Cambridge.

This upcoming 30 year celebration performance will showcase Exit's trademark improvisational and narrative style, featuring eight new dances by choreographers: Susan Atwood, Fontaine Dubus, Julie Pike Edmond, Cheryl Fisher, Stephen Haley, Wendy Hamel, Erin Staffiere and Jen Steeves.

Most of these pieces are emblematic of Exit's deeply collaborative process with its dancers. In addition to the choreographers listed, performers include: Darlene Doyle, Karl Granoth, Damon Jespersen, Courtney Miranda, Jason Novak, and Yori Thomas.
